U.S. Air Force Major Andrea Essig, Flight Nurse, with the 146th Aeromedical Evacuation Squadron, California Air National Guard, shows members of the Georgian Defense Forces, Aviation and Air Defense Command, a supply case of medicine that could be used on patients while being transported during a medical evacuation aboard a C-130 Hercules. The Georgia Air National Guard’s 165th Airlift Wing partnered with the 146th AES to provide all airlift support for Agile Spirit 19 in Tbilisi, Georgia. AgS19 is a cooperatively led exercise between the Georgian Defense Forces, designed to support theater security cooperation and training efforts among the 14 allies and partnering nations participating. The exercise is designed to improve joint and multinational readiness, interoperability, mobility and posture of combat credible forces across the European theater specifically in Georgia.
