190727-N-SS350-1072 GULF OF OMAN (July 27, 2019) Operations Specialist 3rd Class Keanu Maples, from Seattle, Wash., dons a fire fighting ensemble during a general quarters drill aboard the Arleigh Burke-class guided-missile destroyer USS Bainbridge (DDG 96). Bainbridge is deployed to the U.S. 5th Fleet area of operation in support of naval operations to ensure maritime stability and security in the Central Region, connecting the Mediterranean and Pacific through the Western Indian Ocean and three strategic choke points.
