Max Jacob, with 24th Financial Management Company, 3rd Special Troops Battalion, 3rd Sustainment Brigade, 3rd Inf. Div., sample hamburgers cooked during a competition, April 5, at the 4th IBCT dining facility. The Soldiers judged hamburgers prepared by Cornelius Williams, Fort Stewart food advisor, against “Big Dog” hamburgers prepared by Sgt. Charles Jeffress and Spc. Steven Jolpen, food service specialists with 4th IBCT. While the judges preferred the patty prepared by Williams, they declared the “Vanguard” food service specialists the overall winners of the throw-down based on the flavor and creativity of their concoction.
