190712-N-SS350-1021 GULF OF OMAN (July 12, 2019) The Arleigh Burke-class guided-missile destroyer USS Bainbridge (DDG 96) and the Ticonderoga-class cruiser USS Leyte Gulf (CG 55), right, maneuver away from the fast combat support ship USNS Arctic (T-AOE 8) after a replenishment-at-sea. Bainbridge is deployed to the U.S. 5th Fleet area of operation in support of naval operations to ensure maritime stability and security in the Central Region, connecting the Mediterranean and Pacific through the Western Indian Ocean and three strategic choke points.
