Members of the 628th Contracting Squadron perform a site survey to resolve upcoming renovations and repairs for Joint Base Charleston, at Short Stay Recreation Area, S.C., June 27, 2019. The 628th CONS directly supports all Department of Defense personnel in the 628th Air Base Wing, 437th Airlift Wing, 315th Airlift Wing, and over 60 mission partners. The squadron prepares, awards, and administers contracts for construction, supplies and services with an annual value exceeding $80 million. They also train, equip and deploy contracting officers to execute contingency contracting support to operations worldwide and provide operational support for all C-17 Globemaster III aircraft at JB Charleston.
