Members of the 628th Force Support Squadron shot fireworks off during the Freedom Fest event at Locklear Park on Joint Base Charleston, S.C., June 28, 2019. Freedom Fest was held at Locklear Park for all service members, DoD employees and family members in celebration of Independence Day. The festival featured live music and entertainment, a kids zone, food and refreshments, a photo-booth bus and a fireworks show. Independence Day commemorates the founding of the United States. Freedom Fest serves as an opportunity for the Joint Base Charleston community to come together and celebrate these shared values while remembering the importance of those who support our freedom.
