DEVESELU, Romania (June 6, 2019) – U.S. Navy Capt. Jackie Knick, Commander of Naval Support Facility Deveselu, and COL COL Răzvan Brătulescu, commander of the 99th Military Base, meet with local school officials from Scoala Deveselu as they presented homemade food and gifts as part of the annual Romanian Heroes' Day celebrations honoring military and religious figures.

Heroes' Day in Romania is celebrated on the 40th day from the Orthodox Easter. It's not a public holiday but observed with military and religious festivities at the monuments dedicated to the national heroes.
