Air Force 1st Lt. Jason Attinger, a Portage, Ind., native and 10-year active duty Air Force pararescueman who is now an Idaho Air National Guard A-10 Thunderbolt II pilot, teaches small unit tactics to deploying Tactical Air Control Party at Gowen Field in Boise, Idaho March 13. Lieutenant Attinger spent a week with four Tactical Air Control Party from the 124th Air Support Operations Squadron who are preparing for a deployment to Afghanistan in support of Operation Enduring Freedom to teach the combat lifesaver course, long-range firing techniques and other skills that will help them in the field. Air Force pararescuemen often work alongside Navy SEALs and other special forces personnel.
