190530-F-ZZ999-0001 (FORT EUSTIS, Va.) Joint Task Force Civil Support (JTF-CS) Crisis Action Team (CAT) members participate in a scenario during the national-level exercise Ardent Sentry 2019. During the exercise, which is scheduled to run from May 29 - June 5, nearly 100 JTF-CS personnel supported more than 50 command members who were forward-deployed to Nashville, Tenn.; Berry Field, Tenn.; Jackson, Miss.; Jefferson City, Mo. and Ft. Sam Houston, Tx. in response to a notional 7.7 magnitude earthquake in the New Madrid Seismic Zone (NMSZ). Ardent Sentry is a U.S. Northern Command exercise geared toward building and strengthening interagency relationships by providing defense support of civil authorities during the NMSZ earthquake scenario.
