The Blackhorse of the Week is Staff Sgt. Jacob Bunting, a transportation management coordinator with the 129th Support Battalion, 300th Sustainment Brigade.
Why is this Soldier the Blackhorse of The Week? Bunting manages the day to day operations within the support operations transportation section with little to no oversight. He strives for perfection to ensure 100% mission success. He provides support to the transportation companies by resolving issues regarding missions with 450th Transportation Battalion in Camp Arifjan, Kuwait, and the relationships he's established in the short amount of time with the units in country has made the transition between 524th Support Battalion and 129th Support Battalion seamless. Bunting was recognized by the 450th Transportation Battalion senior enlisted advisor, Command Sgt. Maj. Engel. His work ethic and professionalism is impeccable and should be recognized for his efforts in direct support of the support operations transportation section, 129th Sustainment Battalion, 300th Sustainment Brigade, and Operation Spartan Shield.
The Blackhorse of The Week Award is presented to Soldiers that show outstanding service, dedication to duty, and leadership throughout the Sustainment Brigade, area of operations. Each Soldier selected is presented with a certificate and coin.
