Army Cpl. John G. Krebs, 19, a native of Sterling, Illinois, will be buried on Friday at Calvary Cemetery in his hometown.
Krebs was a member of Company L, 3rd Battalion, 21st Infantry Regiment, 24th Infantry Division when he was reported missing in action on July 11, 1950. In 1951, his unidentified remains were among a set of three buried as Unknowns in the National Memorial Cemetery of the Pacific in Honolulu. He was declared deceased in 1953. (Photo Courtesy DPAA)
