The Mustang of the Week is 1st Lt. Christopher Carty, a battle captain with the 300th Sustainment Brigade.
Why is this Soldier the Mustang of The Week? 1st Lt. Carty is a hard worker, he always comes to work with a smile on his face, even when he is at his worse. Carty always puts the mission first which displays how he lives by the Warrior Ethos. He handles his team as the battle captain efficiently and puts his Soldiers needs above his own. Working with him as a young officer just shows what potential he has to be a great leader. Carty has also been willing to teach what knowledge he has learned from courses he has taken here to his entire team.
The Mustang of The Week Award is presented to Soldiers that show outstanding service, dedication to duty, and leadership throughout the battalion area of operations. Each Soldier selected is presented with a certificate and coin.
