As part of raising awareness for Child Abuse Prevention, Defense Supply Center Columbus associates gathered at Hope Garden in Mission Park to place pinwheels and spread seeds around the garden April 1. April is the designated Child Abuse Prevention Month and blue is the color associated with the cause. As associates walk Mission Park, they can anticipate seeing a variety of blue blooms around Hope Garden as early as this fall. Blossoms will return each year from spring until the first frost as a reminder to visitors to stop and reflect on the hope that someday domestic and child abuse will be eliminated.
