190312-N-ZN259-1002 CAMP PENDELTON, Calif. (Mar. 12, 2019) Builder 3rd Class Tirsa Mercado, from Merrillville, Indiana, assigned to Naval Construction Battalion 5 (NMCB-5), nails in the last few trusses for the 16x32 Southeast Asia hut. NMCB-5 is building the huts during Exercise Pacific Blitz 2019 (PacBlitz19) for use by Navy Expeditionary Medical Training Institute on Marine Corps Base Camp Pendleton. Working hand-in-hand, Navy Expeditionary force and 1st Marine Logistics Group capabilities complement each other in the building of advanced naval bases.
