FORT HOOD, Texas--Eight-year-old Azaira Berkitt demonstrates her oral hygiene skills to Staff Sgt. Jennifer Treat during Carl R. Darnall Army Medical Center‘s Feb. 28 celebration of Children’s Dental Health Month. Treat, a preventive dentistry specialist, was on hand to provide CRDAMC’s young beneficiaries and their parents with oral hygiene tips and risk factors associated with dental caries. Providers also provided children with free risk assessment screenings to identify dental problems and to determine eligibility for the military's pediatric dental program that provides free dental care for children under 12 with medical dental needs.
