Chief Mineman Scott Kopelwitz holds up his third place prize: "The Bronze Spork," after competing in the Navy Misawa CPO 365 chili cook-off fundraiser at Cummings Elementary School. The Navy Misawa Chief Petty Officer Association coordinated the event in order to raise money for future CPO 365 projects for the school, which they adopted last year. CPO 365 is a program created by Master Chief Petty Officer of the Navy Rick West, which provides CPO mentorship to first class petty officers, while also introducing greater aspects of senior enlisted leadership, responsibility and accountability.
