Army Capt. Joseph M. Booth, the commander of U.S. Army Reserve 220th Public Affairs Detachment out of Southfield, Michigan is presented with an end of tour gift on behalf of the unit, in Camp Arifjan, Kuwait, Feb. 22, 2019. End of tour awards and small ceremonies promote good unit moral and enhance unit cohesion. Great leadership has allowed the 220th PAD to operate autonomously and excel in every mission with minimum oversight. Even though most Soldiers in the unit have very little experience with Army public affairs or were recent graduates from the Defense Information School, the 220th PAD’s ability to prevail over obstacles has elevated the standard of quality and professionalism for future Public Affairs Detachments to come.
