Foss, a native of Milwaukee, Wisconsin, graduated from Riverside University in June 2017 before enlisting later that month. Alpha Company Marines are the small boat raid specialists for BLT 1/4, the Ground Combat Element for the 31st Marine Expeditionary Unit.
