Leadership from America’s First Team bid farewell to four Troopers during a Distinguished Service Recognition ceremony held at the Spirit of Fort Hood Chapel, Nov. 16. Lt. Col. David L. Daniel, Master Sgt. Mark Schenk, Sgt. 1st Class Jonathan Wilson and Sgt. 1st Class Ricardo Salazar were presented with retirement certificates representing the completion of their military careers. Additionally, over 60 Soldiers and civilians were recognized for their service to the 1st Cavalry Division with awards for outstanding volunteer service and awards recognizing excellence.
