The Savannah district completed a $15.6 million dormitory at Moody Air Force Base, Ga., that received LEED Gold achievement from the Green Building Certification Institute in FY 2011. The dormitory includes a geothermal ground water heating and air conditioning system, which operates at a significantly lower cost and uses less energy than traditional gas, oil or electric systems, because it transfers energy to and from the earth's ground.
