A person is playing a pair of tabla, which are traditional South Asian hand drums used in classical and folk music. The left drum (dayan/tabla) has a wooden body, while the right drum (bayan) has a larger copper/metal body. Motion blur on the hands indicates active drumming in progress.

Atig Azizi performs "Shawam Sadqa" at the new Afghan Cultural Center on Camp Leatherneck in Afghanistan. The song is a popular Afghan melody that talks about all one sacrifices for the other - a love song. Azizi hammers out a rhythm on tablas. He was performing just prior to the official ribbon cutting for the center.
