Master Sgt. Jeronimo L. Soares, JFHQ Cyber Systems Operations, began his military career on Active Duty with the U.S. Navy before leaving active duty to focus on his education.
"I missed my military family, and was fortunate to find an Maine Air National Guard unit close to my home in Bangor, Maine," Soares said. "I quickly learned that the MeANG did more than just train to defend our nation, and I appreciated the opportunity to serve our local communities during natural disasters like the Ice Storm of '98 and Hurricane Irene."
Soares says that he continues to serve because he wants to keep developing his leadership skills and to serve his community.
