A group of Canadian forces and Afghan national army soldiers prepare to return fire during a dawn skirmish with the Taliban during Operation SEASON, a company-level operation in the Panjwaii District of Afghanistan. This company-level operation was a coordinated effort comprising soldiers from India Company, 2nd Batallion, Royal Canadian Regiment (2 RCR), as well as elements of the Armoured Corps, combat engineers, air support, and medical staff, along with soldiers from the Afghan national army (ANA). The purpose of the operation was to seek out Taliban forces in the Panjwaii District.
