BERING SEA, Alaska - The Coast Guard Cutter Alex Haley’s small boat transfers their boarding team onto the fishing vessel Northwestern to conduct a safety inspection. Coast Guard crews assist commercial fishermen with inspections like these to ensure appropriate safety gear is aboard, it is functional, and that proper documentation of vessel and crew is in order.
