Harker Heights, Texas, native Col. Ricky D. Gibbs, commander of the 4th Infantry Brigade Combat Team, 1st Infantry Division, pins the Army Commendation Medal with Valor onto Special Agent Travis Guthmiller, from Jamestown, N.D., June 8 at Forward Operating Base Falcon in the Rashid District of Baghdad. Guthmiller, who is attached to the 610th Brigade Support Battalion, was awarded the medal for going outside his realm of responsibility to render medical aid to a Soldier, saving his life.
