The Dixons, who now call Cape Carteret, N.C., home, were both deployed to Afghanistan in support of counterinsurgency operations. Angelica works in data communications for Marine Wing Communications Squadron 28, and Aaron serves an infantryman with 2nd Light Armored Reconnaissance Battalion. Angelica, from New Haven, Conn., was able to see Aaron, from Columbus, Ga., briefly before he began his travel back to the United States.
