Director, Warfare Integration, Rear Adm. Kenneth Deutsch, points out planes that adorn a Navy squadron T-shirt for a young boy during a Caps for Kids visit at the University of Chicago Comer Children's Hospital. Deutsch, a native of Burlington, Ill., is the main spokesman for the 2007 Chicagoland Navy Week, lasting from June 1-8, which includes city ceremonies recognizing the Navy, appearances and tours by Navy officials and humanitarian visits by Sailors to hospitals and schools. Navy weeks are designed to show Americans the investment they have made in their Navy and to increase awareness in cities that do not have a significant Navy presence.
