Brigadier General Damon S. Feltman departed 10th Air Force to become the Mobilization Assistant to the Commander 14th Air Force, (Air Forces Strategic), Air Force Space Command and Commander, Joint Functional Component Command for Space, United States Strategic Command, at the 30th Space Wing, Vandenberg Air Force Base, California. As the mobilization assistant, Feltman serves as the principal advisor on reserve component matters for 14th Air Force. The 14th Air Force is responsible for the organization, training, equipping, command and control, and employment of Air Force space forces to support operational plans and missions for U.S. combatant commanders and their subordinate components and is the Air Force Component to U.S. Strategic Command for space operations.
Prior to his new assignment, Feltman served as the Vice Commander of 10th Air Force, responsible for leading fighter, bomber, special operations, rescue, airborne warning and control, fighter and bomber flying-training missions, combat air operations battle staff, remotely-piloted aircraft, space, and cyber units in the Air Force Reserve Command.
