FORT SHAFTER, Hawaii (Oct. 18, 2018) - Australian Consul-General, Ambassador Jane Hardy (third to right), and Australian Deputy Consul-General, Dr. Teena Browning (third from left), visit with Pacific Ocean Division (POD) Commanding General, Brig. Gen. Thomas Tickner (second from left), Honolulu District Commander, Lt. Col. Kate Sanborn (right), Honolulu District Chief, Civil Works Branch, Michael Wyatt (left), and POD’s Senior Program Manager for International Cooperation, Evan Ting (second from left) at the Pacific Ocean Division Headquarters. Leaders leveraged the opportunity to meet with Australian partners from the consulate in Honolulu. Participants gained a better understanding of each other's organizational roles, responsibilities, and priorities. Both entities look forward to working closely with one another to achieve common objectives. Australia is a vital U.S. ally and partner, sharing democratic values, common interests, and cultural affinities.
