Alice C. Magee, daughter of Gen. Christian F. Schilt, delivers the keynote address during the ceremony that officially dedicated the headquarters building to her father. Magee said that it was an honor for Schilt and the entire family.The new headquarters building, completed in March, is the most prominent building on the air station. The name chosen for the building is a dedication to the memory of Schilt, a Marine aviator with ties to the Cherry Point community. Schilt’s family attended the ceremony.
