Sailors assigned to Naval Computer and Telecommunications Area Master Station Atlantic talk to veterans who served aboard the USS Annapolis between 1964 and 1969 during a group visit to Naval Station Norfolk. Annapolis was the Navy’s first communication major relay ship and was instrumental in passing operational orders during the Vietnam War, relaying critical command and control information back to U.S. Pacific Fleet headquarters.
