Capt. Ryan Hester, outgoing commander of Headquarters and Headquarters Company, 2nd Advise and Assist Brigade, 1st Infantry Division, United States Division – Center and a Dunkirk, Md., native, speaks during the HHC change of command ceremony Aug. 31 at Camp Liberty, Iraq. Hester commanded the company, the largest in the brigade, for more than a year, guiding it through pre-deployment training and nine months of a deployment to Iraq in support of Operation New Dawn.
