Zukunft, Coast Guard headquarters, Washington, D.C, June 1, 2018. Zukunft, who retired after 41 years of service in the Coast Guard, was succeeded by Adm. Karl L. Schultz. The Coast Guard Band is a 55-member ensemble of world-class musicians who perform at presidential and cabinet-level events, as well as in public concerts and community outreach events, as part of the mission to be the bridge between the Coast Guard and the American public.
