Mercedes Dereese, a training noncommissioned officer and native of Birmingham, Alabama, assigned to the 318th Chemical Company, 490th Chemical Battalion, 76th Operational Response Command takes notes during the first ever Sabot Academy in White Settlement, Texas May 19.
