Airmen from the 62nd and 446th Airlift Wings are shown after they were presented with an Air Medal by Gen. Raymond E. Johns Jr., Air Mobility Command commander, July 29, at Joint Base Lewis-McChord, Wash. Six of seven aircrew members from the aircrew were present to receive the medal. They are the aircrew from McChord Field who flew a C-17 Globemaster III from Joint Base Lewis-McChord to McMurdo Station, Antarctica, to aeromedically evacuate an ailing government worker from the station from June 28 to 30.
