Soldiers from the 5th Squadron 4th Cavalry Regiment and German Armed Forces conducted a tactical road march through the Grafenwoehr training area to improve battlefield movement and coordination.
Soldiers from the British Armed Forces and a U.S. Army soldier ensure the technical support system is functioning to provide adequate information to keep the Joint Warfighting Assessment exercise running smoothly.
Leadership from the United States Army, the Australian Defense Forces and British, Canadian and French Armed Forces met April 20, 2018, to discuss the multinational information system established for the JWA exercise at Grafenwoehr Training Area.
Each nation’s representative provided an update on their status of the multinational information network.
The information system allows the multinational partners to communicate to each other on a secured network.
U.S. Army Lt. Col. Nicole Vinson, the director of coalition network operations and security center for JWA, said the meeting was not only focused on ensuring the network was operable, but also to improve partner interoperability between U.S. joint forces and our Allies.
The JWA helps the Army assess emerging concepts, integrate new technologies, and promote interoperability within the Army, other services, U.S. allies, and partners. JWA is the only exercise venue assessing 27 concepts and capabilities while aligning with U.S. Army Europe Readiness and other component exercises such as Combined Resolve X and U.S. Air Forces’ Blue Flag 18 with a focus on a ready, interoperable Joint Force capable of accomplishing the mission and overmatching current and future enemies across the range of military operations.
