At the start of Day 4 of the week-long 2011 Army Materiel Command Best Warrior competition, July 14, 2011, at Rock Island Arsenal, Ill., Staff Sgt. Christopher Cook (right) assits Sgt. Douglas McBroom prepare for the day land navigation course. McBroom, Military Surface Deployment and Distribution Command's 2011 Non-commissioned Officer of the Year, captured the top spot in the AMC NCO of the Year competition, as well. Cook and McBroom are assigned to SDDC's 597th Transportation Brigade at Joint Base Langley-Eustis, Va.
