A wintry scene in the spring can be seen at Suukjak Sep Lake on April 3, 2018, at Fort McCoy, Wis. The former Squaw Lake and Squaw Creek were renamed to Suukjak Sep Lake and Suukjak Sep Creek. Suukjak Sep is from the Ho-Chunk language and means black wolf. The name change was approved in May 2016 by the U.S. Board on Geographic Names, which is part of the U.S. Geological Survey.
