Army 1st Sgt. Scott Mai, the 164th Engineer Battalion, Headquarters and Headquarters Company first sergeant, checks in with his family while out on patrol in Minot, N.D., June 29, 2011. Mai had just entered a flooded neighborhood to escort Citizens who were reentering their homes without the proper consent. The evacuation zones are still unsafe for residents to enter according to authorities.
