The plane flew the Air Force's first direct delivery airlift mission through the Arctic Circle from Dover Air Force Base, Del., to Bagram Air Field, Afghanistan. Gleckler is from the 9th Airlift Squadron at Dover AFB and his hometown is Grove, Okla.
