Petty Officer 3rd Class Peter Gould, hospital corpsman, a Silver Star medal recipient, throws out the ceremonial first pitch as part of the San Diego Padres "USO Night" game. Gould was hit with shrapnel in the neck and face and loss part of his hearing while trying to save other service members on a mission in Afghanistan during Operation Enduring Freedom.
