    Crane Army Ammunition Activity

    Crane Army Ammunition Activity employees unthread base fuzes from 105 mm white phosphorus projectiles with a machine designed and built by CAAA engineers. All material except the white phosphorus must be removed from the round before chemically converting the white phosphorus to phosphoric acid. Crane Army Ammunition Activity provides conventional munitions support for U.S. Army and Joint Force readiness, including production, demilitarization, transportation and storage.
