    180209-N-SF984-0008 PACIFIC OCEAN (Feb. 09, 2018) Gas Turbine Systems Technician - Mechanical 2nd Class Shelly Canto of Whitehouse, Texas, assigned to Arleigh Burke-class guided-missile destroyer USS Dewey (DDG 105), takes readings on dry bulbs in the ship's common control station while standing sound and security watch. Dewey departed Naval Base San Diego to conduct operations in the Indo-Pacific Region, Feb. 6. Dewey will also support the Wasp Expeditionary Strike Group deployment in order to advance U.S. Pacific Fleet's Up-Gunned ESG concept and will train with forward-deployed amphibious ships across all mission areas.
