Stephen Leon, HHC, 1st Battalion, 181st Infantry Regiment, Massachusetts Army National Guard June 4, on Camp Phoenix in Kabul, Afghanistan. Sgt. Steven W. Grasso was also awarded the Purple Heart and Pfc. Kevin F. Nieves was awarded the Purple Heart and Bronze Star Medal for Valor.
