New York Army National Guard Capt. Jose Perez leads the audience in the Pledge of Allegiance on Wednesday, Jan.3 just before New York Governor Andrew M. Cuomo’s annual State-of-the-State Address in the Empire State Convention Center in Albany, N.Y. The governor traditionally lays out his agenda in the speech before state legislators and other officials which is televised across the state. 50 members of the New York National Guard were in the audience and recognized for their service.
