In October 2017 the 26th Yankee Division celebrated its centennial. During the past 100 years of continuous military service New Englanders (mostly from Massachusetts) have deployed with the Yankee Division to France, Germany, Guadalcanal, Egypt, Afghanistan and Iraq. Components of the Yankee Division remain in active service with the Massachusetts Army National Guard and they still wear the "YD" patch. The Massachusetts National Guard recognized the storied service of Yankee Division soldiers - past and present - with a gala. This infographic was created for display at the Yankee Division gala. The infographic, entitled "26th Yankee Division: 100 Years of Service" features four components.
(1) A world map identifying the locations in which the 26th Yankee Division has performed wartime service;
(2) An original illustration of a World War I doughboy modeling the uniform and equipment worn by soldiers of the Yankee Division at the time of the unit's founding;
(3) Factoids about the Yankee Division's service in World War I associated with certain parts of the model soldier;
(4) A timeline running along the soldier's rifle noting some of the key accomplishments of the Yankee Division during its first few years of existence;
