    The crew of Coast Guard Cutter Walnut (WLB 205) conducted aids to navigation work on the H buoy off Honolulu, Dec. 4, 2017. These red and white buoys mark safe water all around and weigh around 18,000 pounds. Walnut’s primary mission is to maintain Aids to Navigation (ATON) utilizing the Dynamic Positioning System of the ship or Walnut’s Dive Team. Other missions that Walnut performs are: Maritime Law Enforcement, Port/Waterways and Coastal Security, Search and Rescue and Environmental Protection. (U.S. Coast Guard photo by Lt.
