The "Front Porch" floatation device is unfolded and inflated by Pararescuemen and Combat Rescue Officers from the 103rd Rescue Squadron of the New York Air National Guard following a jump from the back of a C-17 in the waters off Marine Corps Base Hawaii on March 5 2017. The Airmen were testing an an inflatable device known as the "Front Porch" intended to be mated to the Orion spacecraft, and used to support astronauts who have made a water landing following a flight.
