U.S. Marine Cpl. Irving Pino and a soldier in the Malaysian Armed Forces take cover during an integrated amphibious assault, Nov. 21, 2017, at Blue Beach training area, Malaysia, during Exercise Tiger Strike 17. Tiger Strike is a bilateral training exercise between the Malaysian Armed Forces and U.S. Forces working to increase combat readiness and conduct military operations to promote security and stability across the region. Pino, a native of El Centro, California, is a rifleman with Fox Company, 2nd Battalion, 1st Marine Regiment. 2/1 is attached to 3rd Marine Division through the unit deployment program.
