U.S. Air Force Staff Sgt. Abel Medellia, 146th Aircraft Maintenance Squadron, California Air National Guard, marshals a C-130J Hercules into a parking spot at Dyess Air Force Base, Texas, April 20, 2011. The C-130 is equipped with the Modular Airborne Firefighting System which is capable of dispensing 3,000 gallons of water or fire retardant in under five seconds. MAFFS is a valuable tool in the effort to control the wildfires that are burning across Texas.
